LynnBlakeGolf: Hoteled (3 miles away with shuttle); USGA credentialed; and on course at Bethpage Black. Also, credentialed at Barclays Hospitality! :-)

LynnBlakeGolf: BG in last night but just got to course. Kimberly said he just wanted to sleep in. After only 126 holes last wk in TN heat? Get a backbone!

LynnBlakeGolf: Spent yesterday on the tee and course with Brian Gay. REALLY nasty weather now and 1st rd play suspended.

LynnBlakeGolf: BG had a 2:20 tee time, but looking at these dark skies and driving rain, he may not start until tomorrow. In fact, we may be done today..

LynnBlakeGolf: Rains contnue at Bethpage Black. USGA has just called play for the day. We try again tomorrow!

LynnBlakeGolf: Dinner at Frederick's in Melville. Mrs. Yoda and I met 2 bedraggled USGA staff as we left the hotel. Plan: 27 tomorrow with a 7:30 start.

LynnBlakeGolf: BG's off. First hole #10. Beautiful drive and 20* hybrid CLOSE. Let's start with THREE!

LynnBlakeGolf: Missed from six feet. Rats! But easy start. Go BG!

LynnBlakeGolf: Walking with Mrs. Kimberly Gay. Also, Rich Ferro / swingnorthtosouth and Sligo rep Ryan Burdo. BG's even thru 5.

LynnBlakeGolf: Thank goodness for Rich. He's played BB "about a hundred times" and knows the way around. It was a whole lot different walking the fairways!

LynnBlakeGolf: This mud in the gallery areas is ujnbelievable. Worse I've seen, the object is to stay UPRIGHT.

LynnBlakeGolf: Fabulous up-and-down from the deep front bunker on the tough 15th. BG remains +1.

LynnBlakeGolf: Birdie on 16. Back to even!

LynnBlakeGolf: Sorry for 'radio silent'. Had a meeting with Barclays. BG finished at (+3) is set to begin his 3rd nine of the day at 6:20.

Too bad for BG. This is possibly the best scoring window of the weekend.
Oh well, it is the Open afterall.

LynnBlakeGolf: Left it in. Had to wedge out. 220 yd 3-iron to front bunker. Blast to 5 feet. Draino. Like I said: Great six!

LynnBlakeGolf: Center-cut drive on the par 4 5th. Couldn't see the second down, but it had to be good: I'd know that 'club twirl' anywhere!

LynnBlakeGolf: #5-#6: par-bogey (from left bunker downhill to short pin). Ugh.

LynnBlakeGolf: Okay. #6. Just your basic 525-yd par FOUR. BG split the fw and has carried the front bunker with his trusty hybrid. Don't think he's on.
